The Brief
At We Believe Media we worked with Wilsons of Colchester, a long-established wholesaler. The brief was to rebrand Buffalo their own trade range. The goal was to position it as a professional grade, market leading brand. The project launched with a new brushware range and a complete refresh of the brand’s visual identity, targeting tough trade roles with durable and long-lasting products.
The Deliverables
Alongside the marketing lead, I developed the brand strategy for Buffalo, repositioning it around durability, reliability and trade-level performance. I then led the creative development as sole designer, producing a research and development pack with three creative directions, as well as taglines. This was then presented to the client and informed the final identity, including Buffalo PRO and the Tuff-Lok bracket. I delivered packaging, POS, digital ads, website direction and full brand guidelines for rollout.
The Result
The rebrand was very well received in the market, sparking early sales growth and attracting increased interest from national retailers. The client described the outcome as a major step forward for their personal brand and were pleased with the impactful design standing out next to its competitors – especially the product stands. A friendly brand but with ‘trade tough, built to last products’.
