It’s time for a quick look at what I’ve been loving this past week, wrapped up into one little post.
Divergent by Veronica Roth: I am a little late to hop on the Divergent train, but I picked up the trilogy on a whim this week and I finished the first in one day, I just couldn’t put it down. I had a sneaky suspicion I would like it considering I am a mega fan of the Hunger Games and this revolves around the same kind of themes. It’s certainly a great read and I am ready to get stuck into the second book of the trilogy now, Insurgent.
Benefit POREfessional pro balm: I don’t know how I actually managed without this product, and considering the hype that surrounds it, I’m surprised it has taken me this long to buy it. The balm is oil-free and can be used as a primer, or for touch-ups throughout the day to help minimise the appearance of pores. I’m not kidding when I say this – it works. I use it as a primer and it just sinks into the skin to create a smooth base for your makeup , and it actually does diminish the appearance of pores and even wrinkles too. Seriously, everyone needs this. Buy it, now.
Revlon Colorburst and Just Bitten Kissable balm stains: Although they make me feel like I’m drawing on my face with crayons, I’ve been loving these balm stains this week. They are long-lasting and come in a great range of colours, plus they were super affordable considering priceline had a buy one get one free deal, how could you say no? Charm is a great everyday peachy pink while Elusive creates the perfect pink lip.
Chanel Ombres Contraste Duo in Misty-Soft: This was my little treat for the week, but I did have a David Jones voucher that made this purchase possible. These really pretty mauve shades were perfect for me to mix it up from my usual browns. The lighter shade has a little bit more glitter through it and would be great all over the lid, with the darker blended through the crease for a smoky effect.
Kodaline: I’d never heard of this rock Irish band until I heard a song playing over the radio at work that pricked up my ears. It was All Comes Down and that, along with High Hopes (my two favourites at the moment) have been on repeat. Their songs have a great cinematic feel to them, and I’m not ashamed to say that goosebumps were had.
The Aromatherapy Co. Cocoa & Vanilla Diffuser: This one isn’t actually from this week but I had to include it. My room smells like cocoa and vanilla, nuff said.
